The category of glassy green trinitite are known for their visible traits and characteristics. These range and/or include craters along the sides, crystallizations along the top, sides, and edges, crystalline filled craters on the sides or slits on the underside, and some do have raised solid crystals. Glassy greens have extremely glassy topsides and are usually slick to the touch. The colors of glassy greens topsides, edges, and sides run across the green color spectrum, to include but not limited to: sea green, middle green, jade, emerald, apple, bottle, pistachio, olive, and hunter greens. All glassy pieces live up to Trinitite's Nickname: Green Glass. When you remove your piece from the case to admire it, do so over a soft surface. If you drop a glassy piece on a hard surface, it is likely for the sides to have breakage, crack, split, and/or shatter. When placing the trintite back in the round plastic circular case, do not press down hard. Make sure there is enough clearance or your glassy piece will shatter!
