The half-life of radioactivity has LONG expired. The only test to confirm Trinitite is legitimate is using a Gamma Spectroscopy. Some will get a read on a pancake Geiger, but it must be able to detect alpha, beta and gamma. If your pancake Geiger can not detect alpha, you will not get a read.
The pictures on our website are for reference only. These pieces fall into the Regular Trinitite category. These pieces are the most common on the market, appear duller, have a partial glossy topside, generally minimal to no craters or crystallizations along the sides, have a semi-rocky feel across the topside, with a sandy residue.
Prices of loose individual regular green Trinitite vary based on weight category. Buyers will get piece(s) that cumulatively weigh that amount. The larger the weight category does NOT mean the piece is larger in size. Trinitite is porous and weighs less than other rocks when compared by size. Most of our pieces in our inventory weigh under four (4) grams.
*Seller will accommodate the type of the "most.commom" Trinitite in the listed weight categories if the Buyer has a specific taste for the visual look of the "most common" Trinitite on the market.
*Seller used AI to create a background image to give the Buyer an idea on what the loose pieces would look like on a desk top. Buyer has the right to choose from the available display cases across the website.
*If the Buyer wants to add a Commerative Stamp to the "most common" Trinitite, send the Seller a message by subscribing and emailing the Seller.

- * Much of our collection is rare for a couple of reasons. Our collection contains Baratol (Ba-130, Ba-132, Ba-133 peaks), meaning our pieces were gathered close to the detonation site. The Baratol comes from the conventional explosion used to initiate the atomic explosion*
