An area of solid crystalline rolls from the topside to the underside. This piece also has a couple of solid dark green crystals. Be careful when placing the Trinitite back into the case. Do not press down hard on it. Glassy Trinitite live up to its Nickname: Green Glass. If pressed down hard, it will break, split, crack, crumble and\/or shaatter. Handle over a soft area to avoid the same outcome. Do not roll Trinitite between your fingers\/thumb, the sides will begin to crumble from the friction. The putty can be pulled off the botton of the Trinitite and\/or if you prefer a different side of the token. The putty stays tacky for quite a while. It allows you to handle the piece of Trinitite and then secure it back in the display case. A small amount of putty is included in the order.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe display case is a very hard plastic (close to acrylic), and is a great quality clear case with double velvet foam layers to protect these items. This case has a bottom portion and the lid locks in place, but you just gently pull up on the top and the lid lifts right off. The case measurements are: 2\"x 2\"x 3\/4\". This display case can lay flat or stand up horizontally. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e*Trinitite looks a little darker in the display case, but that is a camera and lighting issue.
